Leadership Bedford County is...
A Class
A Networking Opportunity
A Personal & Professional Journey
For one day a month over a 10-month "course", class members join with fellow servant-leaders-in-training to learn and experience vital aspects of the Bedford County Community.
Leadership Bedford County members foster relationships with classmates, class participants, and community leaders - all influential in their areas of expertise. They learn more about Bedford County's historic successes and future challenges. They gain an appreciation for the cultural, business, educational, political and social elements that make Bedford County such a dynamic community.
The Leadership program also helps participants to discover where their skills and interests can be best put to use to effect positive change in the community. They explore the concept of servant leadership - what it means to be entrusted, in part, with the future health and prosperity of Bedford County.
Each Leadership class is given a special challenge: to create a project to benefit their community. Past projects have been fundraisers for local non-profit agencies, river clean-up, trail building, and more. The possibilities are limited only by the creativity and commitment of each class.
